The sunset slot
The most requested, by far. The golden light on the Atlas ridge in the distance gives a photo finish that the other two slots can't match. It's also the slot that fills up fastest in high tourist season (March–May and September–November) — book several days ahead if that specific light matters to you.
The season matters as much as the hour
December to February: mornings can be cool, sometimes around 5–10°C early morning on the plateau, with pleasant afternoons around 18–22°C. Bring an extra layer for the morning slot.
June to August: marked heat in the afternoon, often above 35°C. The morning or sunset slots become clearly preferable to the afternoon.
March–May and September–November: the most balanced season, moderate temperatures throughout the day — and therefore the busiest period, with stronger demand across all slots.
