A full day makes sense when you combine multiple activities: quad in the morning, camel in the afternoon, dinner in the evening. Or quad + sunset + dinner show, which spans 5 to 6 hours on site.
It's also the recommended format if you only have one free day in Marrakech and want to maximise the desert experience. Since the trip from Marrakech is made only once, you enjoy the full time on site.
Actual time on the trails
A crucial point to check: the activity duration itself is not the total outing time. A "half-day" package can include 45 minutes of actual driving buried in 2h30 of transfers and waiting.
